Red Cliffs is a solo dungeon located in Dragon Castle, designed for players level 80 and above. It serves as a progression-focused instance rather than a gold farming activity, with its main purpose being the acquisition of Pirate Maps - a currency used for early and mid-game advancement.
Players can enter through the Dungeon Warden at coordinates (457, 393) in Dragon Castle. The dungeon is strictly solo - party play is not allowed and players must leave any party before entering. Pets are disabled inside the instance, although AID is enabled to assist with combat.
Each player receives one entry per character per day. The daily reset occurs at 20:00 server time. Additional entries can be purchased from the Quarter Master in Dragon Castle for 25 billion cheques each. Once inside, players have a strict five-minute timer. When the timer expires, the player is automatically removed from the dungeon regardless of progress.
All monsters within Red Cliffs count toward the player's kill progression. Kill progress is persistent - it carries over between dungeon runs and does not reset upon leaving the instance, logging out, or server restarts. There is no requirement to reach 500 kills in a single run; players can build progress across multiple entries.
Once a player accumulates 500 total kills, they are eligible to exchange them for a Pirate Treasure Chest. This exchange is performed by speaking to the Quarter Master in Dragon Castle, located near the Dungeon Warden. The 500 kills are consumed on exchange.
Opening a Pirate Treasure Chest always rewards Pirate Maps. The quantity is random, ranging between 750 and 1,000 maps per chest. Pirate Maps are the sole reward - there are no additional items or hidden drops.
Inside Red Cliffs, player damage is level-scaled, meaning the amount of damage you deal depends on your character's level bracket. Players below level 80 are unable to deal any damage at all, effectively preventing entry progression for underleveled characters. Once players reach level 80, damage begins scaling based on predefined thresholds, increasing gradually as level increases.
| Level Bracket | Damage per Hit |
|---|---|
| Below 80 | 0 |
| 80 - 99 | 2,000 |
| 100 - 120 | 3,000 |
| 121 - 150 | 5,000 |
| 151 - 175 | 7,000 |
| 176 - 190 | 9,000 |
| 191+ | 11,000 |
This system ensures that progression through Red Cliffs remains controlled and balanced, with higher-level characters clearing content more efficiently while lower-level players experience a slower, more progressive farming pace.
Pirate Maps are the primary currency of Red Cliffs and are spent at the Quarter Master shop in Dragon Castle. They can be used for the following:
- Sending out adventurers in the Adventurer system
- Purchasing intermediate Heavenly Tier costumes through the Linen Shop
- Acquiring Privateer Chests, which contain Adventurer Scrolls used in the Adventurer system
